Bio
Mr Fondren has been enjoying and participating in instrumental music since elementary school. As a performer he has been a member of several collegiate ensembles including the University of North Alabama Symphonic, Jazz, and Pride of Dixie Marching Bands. While studying on the graduate level he was a member of the EKU Percussion Ensemble, Marimba Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Timpanist with the Orchestra. In 1988 he was a member of the Florida Wave Drum and Bugle Corps from Ft Lauderdale Florida and performed in 20 states that summer. During graduate school he wrote for and taught the Eastern Kentucky University Marching Colonels’ Drumline. Mr. Fondren was selected as a performer with the Kentucky Percussive Art’s Society All Collegiate Percussion Ensemble. Various awards received are as follows; Donald Cooper Memorial Percussion Award, University of North Alabama Service Award, and four year scholarship recipient while at UNA.
Mr. Fondren is a resident of Helena, AL and enjoys spending family time with his wife, Shelia and son, Jacob.
